Does anyone have 10,000 rounds or more thru their RAMI?
« on: March 25, 2016, 08:32:29 PM »
I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has atleast 10,000 rounds way more would be even better thru their RAMI and how the gun is holding up as a shooter and not just being used as a carry gun? I enjoy shooting my RAMI and know I have to replace the recoil spring but I am wondering if putting lots of rounds thru this gun does any other damage to it or if it causes any malfunctions when 1,000's of rounds are shot thru it. My RAMI is 9mm decocker if that mite make any difference. Any input is greatly appreciated as I would love to keep shooting it as much as I can

I doubt it, but at the same time I do not see anything saying you cannot if you keep the springs up!

danalynn ... Welcome to the forum.  While I see no reason that the RAMI isn't capable of handling a round count well north of 10,000 (mine is at 2,500+ after 5 years with no issues), given it is a purpose built carry gun, I doubt that you will find many (if any) here who have/will rack up that many rounds.  As a side note, I do have over 14,000 rounds on my SS 75b without issue (remains my favorite 9mm range gun :) ).

Thank you I do have a full size 75 omega and an older duo tone compact 75.  I was just hoping maybe someone had a really high count thru a RAMI since it is aluminum and  I do love it hence really wanna shoot it a lot when I am out in the woods or at the range. My next trip to the range should put me at about 1000 rounds and I was lucky enough to get 5 extra springs and even 5 whole recoil assemblies from CZ a few weeks ago when they came in stock for a whole week. I learned that lesson to if you want something out of stock there by a few extra when they get them in cuz they sure go fast.

I wouldn't worry about wearing out the RAMI, it's an alloy frame similar to a number of other CZs.
As previously mentioned it will probably wear out springs faster just because of the physics of a short barrel, but I have little doubt in it's longevity.
