RAMI front sight dovetail size
« on: March 15, 2016, 05:20:40 PM »
Just purchased a Rami that has a cz target rear sight fit to it, along with what looks to be a Dawson Precision front.  It is shooting low, and I need to change the front sight.  I have heard that the front sight dovetail is a standard novak cut.  Can anyone tell me it that is true?

Thanks

Update:  I ordered a Novak Cut sight from Dawson Precision.  Right cut, but it was a bit loose.  Nothing a little peening on the underside and red Loctite didn't fix.

Thanks

CZ Custom has Competition Rami sights in stock right now:

http://czcustom.com/cz-rami-tac-rear-sight.html

Have you verified the point of aim/point of impact offset with multiple different types of ammo?  What is the sight picture you are using?  Heavier ammo usually hits higher than cheap target ball ammo.  Has someone else shot the gun and confirmed the low impact?

Just some thoughts to ponder before you start modifying your Rami.

Cheers,
Toby
