Trigger difference between B and BD model?
« on: May 08, 2016, 01:57:20 PM »
Are the triggers a different shape? Even on the CZ-USA site: http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-97-b-45-acp-black-aluminum-grips-fo-front-sight-10-rd-mags/  and/ or  http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-97-bd-45-acp-black-aluminum-grips-3-dot-tritium-night-sights-10-rd-mags/... the trigger on the BD model looks like it has more curve to it than the B model. Does anyone know if the trigger shape is different? I really much prefer the straighter trigger, but was contemplating the BD model for the night sights and the manual of arms which would be similar to my Sig P220ST.

The 97BD that I purchased in 2014 came with the black CZ recurve trigger which I promptly switched out to the 85c trigger. The 85c trigger is kitted with CGW Pro Package.
Like yourself, I prefer a flatter trigger face.
I also had to further polish the bottom and sides of the 85c that contacted my finger before I was ultimately happy with the 85c.

My 2012 model BD had the black recurve trigger too. I swapped it for the early style CZ 75 thick trigger.

Indeed, the CZ97 BD comes factory with the "Black recurve trigger". This trigger also come factory in the SP-01 Safty/Tac, P-01, one of the RAMIs and a few others CZs. This trigger is more commonly associated with trigger bite than any of the other available triggers. It never bothered me much though i do prefer the Old 85c trigger.

The CZ 97 safety model comes factory with what i know as a "CZ97 trigger". This trigger is the same profile as the old/orignal style 85c trigger that CZC offers with out the over-travel set screw.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Thank you all for your replies. I was thinking that this was the case, but wanted to hear from "those in the know".
