I like the looks of the 806. The appeal of the 805 was lost when I read about the new and improved 806.
+1.
Bottom line, major weapon systems have been copying from the Czechs for so long, I don't mind them copying minor ergo components.
Upper receiver changes to make lighter, but visibly I don't see it. Most changes are to stock and lower receiver. I actually get Kel-Tec Gator vibes from CZs waffle moldings on both... Pistol grip angle appears to have become more vertical as well (a good thing IMO).
Side rails and sights on upper are also swappable so bear that in mind too -- don't actually see much non-reversible change to the upper.
Also worth considering that the Bren's never had multi-caliber functionality in production insofar as I'm aware... The multi-caliber requirement on many weapon systems, especially 6.8 spc, was before heavy 5.56 rounds like the 77 smk, mk 262 mod 1 became available. Also, trajectory but not wind drift for the 77gr projectiles also closely approximates 308 ballistics -- so if you're shooting men and not through cover, it's tough to argue for .308 being superior to 5.56 w/in a 600 yard envelope considering wind drift is the only major ballistic change (other than terminal performance from heavier projectiles). 6.8 spc, I personally tend to agree with the following article where 6.8spc's greatest benefit is niche cqb and/or hunting role:

In brief, this round was modeled strongly off of the czech 7.62x45 around which the vz52 [effectively, Czech sks but entirely separate weapon] was designed and around which the VZ58 was designed before Soviets required 7.62x39). More on cartridge designed by dude who helped design the 6.8 spc:

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2010/04/07/7x46mm-uiac-universal-intermediate-assault-cartridge/Point being about the cartridge diversion -- if not offering in 7.62x39 and/or .308, etc, presumably the additional modifications should also be tailoring the design more to optimize reliability and robustness for 5.56 rather than a compromise between different caliber/iteration requirements. That's a major good thing IMO.
