CZ p-07 FDE 99030
« on: June 16, 2016, 09:27:23 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone own the FDE model of the CZ p-07?  The model number is 99030.  I've seen conflicting reports whether this model comes with night sights or regular sights.  CZ website lists thred dot fixed sights as do the descriptions that the retailers paste, but the headline states that they come with NS/nightsights.

Thanks! Mike

I just picked mine up.  It was advertised as having trit night sights.  It does have night sights although they are pretty basic and a little cheap looking(they are metal and will do just fine for my purposes).  The inserts really didn't look like trit that I've had with other night sights but after looking them over better, I suppose they are trit since they glow.  I got this particular gun because it was the same price (actually a little less) than those advertised with no night sights so I thought "what the heck".

I can't see on the box anywhere that states trit night sights but the SKU on the case is:  8 06703 99030 9  (I think that's model number 99030 ??)

From the CZ-USA WEB SITE:  "Note- Some CZ-USA dealers order special versions that vary from the standard configuration. This might be a difference in sights, safety mechanisms, finish or accessory package. From time to time you may find a P-07 with an extended barrel, tactical light, tritium sights or safety levers only. There are a number of special versions we ship throughout the year. May ship with or without a lanyard loop."

This gun has night sights, lanyard ring, two 15-round mags & 2 magazine extensions, extra medium and large grip inserts, parts to change to safety only, printed target, warranty card, manual, hex key (I guess for the sights), cleaning brush, lock.

With that said, I called the vendor that I bought mine from to verify it had night sights and the lanyard ring and he checked the actual gun.  I sent emails to 2 other dealers asking about night sights and lanyard ring and never received an answer.  I wanted one that had the lanyard ring, didn't really care either way if it had night sights (they do glow nicely in the dark).

I would think that if it does have night sights that the dealer would state so since that could be a selling point.....but you never know. Two dealers on GunBroker mention night sights but the others do not and I believe all of the guns with 15 round mags are model 99030.

Soooooooooo.........I'm not sure you can tell by the model number exactly what options the gun has.  I'd CALL the dealer and ask before buying.  If a distributor ordered these FDE guns I would have thought they would all have night sights but maybe not.

Here's a picture of the sights on my P07 FDE (no flash used, had to put a "pen" in the picture to get the camera to focus and even then I had issues...LOL).  This gun is right out of the box and hasn't been cleaned yet so pardon the lint, etc. :-[

I read on the CZ website that distributors can order the P07s with different options and that you should check when purchasing one. For example, the GEN2s  don't all have a lanyard ring which was one option I was looking for.  This gun has night sights, lanyard ring, two 15-round mags & 2 magazine extensions, medium and large grip inserts, parts to change to safety only, printed target, warranty card, manual, hex key (I guess for the sights), cleaning brush, lock.

thank you very much for that thorough review.  Where did you get yours from?

I purchased from a dealer on GunBroker.   Query CZ P07 FDE and you'll get several listings.  There are 2 dealers that mention night sights.  DLSupplies currently has 3 available and Wholesale Hunter has 113.  I did not verify the options on the guns from Wholesale Hunter because that ad was placed after I purchased my gun from DLSupplies. The ads for the other vendors don't say the guns have night sights but you could certainly call and ask, they may not even know that the gun has them if it not marked on the box.

My gun came in exactly as advertised so I have no complaints.  Maybe I could have gotten it a little cheaper later but I wanted it NOW (as usual) and the GB prices were the best I could find at the time (and no CC fee for those 2 particular dealers).

Tritium vs some light charging/absorbing material. Tritium is nuclear waste/byproduct that should glow 7-12 years and this luminous material requires a light source to absorb to glow for a short period. Best explanation I've got.

Got my LGS to order from Bill Hicks distributor.

You used to be able to buy the lanyard ring spring base from CZ.  I don't remember if I got mine from CZ USA or CZ Custom, but it was pretty easy to install.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
