Cz 75 sp01...threaded barrel vs non threaded....
« on: June 16, 2016, 01:35:43 PM »
Trying to decide between the non-threaded and threaded model...same price. I have no plans to ever add a suppressor, but they look kinda cool. Any pros or cons for the threaded barrel?

There's really only 2 reasons to have a threaded barrel. One is to mount a suppressor, the other is to mount a compensator. If you plan to never do either than just go with the standard barrel.

Threaded barrel
Pros:
Can mount suppressor or compensator
Slightly longer barrel=more velocity
Cons:
Holster choices are more limited/Holster may need to be modified to work
Will need to protect threads when attachment not mounted

That's my thoughts.

Sounds simple enough to me. Thanks

The higher sights take a little time to get used to, on top of not being compatible with some off the shelf holsters. Can't go wrong with either choice.
