I have a P-07 for about 3 years, where I use optional de-cocker instead of manual safety.
Recently I got a CCW and attended some "field tactical" training, including some on "fast response moves"
When I carry it, the round is in the chamber and the hammer is down, so the first shot is DA.
The pull seems to be a little bit long and the force to be applied a little bit heavy.

I would like to hear from professionals, whether it is safe to ask a gunsmith to do some
trigger work to shorten the pull and to decrease the pull force.
Thanks

I'm no 'professional', but you should contact Cajun Gun Works about their Pro package for your P-07.

Not only are they pros...they're experts with CZ's.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Or: Practice more DA first shots.

It's common that people who take their DA/SA guns to the range fire a DA first shot when they start - and then everything thereafter is SA.

Big mistake. Train how you carry. DA first shot every time.

No reason why you can't put your first shot on the target - even if it is DA - every time

Call David at Cajun Gun Works. He will answer your questions and tell you exactly what can reliably lighten your DA.

arney444,
I'm sure not a pro,  but read the posts here in the gunsmithing section about the trigger options available for your pistol.  You wouldn't want a super light pull for carry,  but yes you can lighten the pull easily and shorten the pull with a little help from our friends at CGW, CZC and experienced members here on the forum.

I agree with Grendel.
Every first shot with my DA/SA pistols is DA,  Condition 1.  Practice "first shots" both dry-fire and at the range.

DA is Condition 1 with  the hammer down and no safety.
Decockers are Condition 1 when  de-cocked (Same as hammer down) and no safety .
SA is condition 1 when  Cocked with Safety on.

Don't be afraid of that DA first shot.  Practice, practice, practice.  Especially with CZ DA/SA pistols ,  that DA first shot can be made very smoothly and accurately.
All it takes is $$$ and practice, practice, practice. :)

You will not shorten the stroke a lot in DA, regardless, because it needs to run its full arc to make things happen. You CAN however lighten the pull considerably with a lighter mainspring kit and extended fireing pin that CGW sells and retains full reliability. Works excellently.

Install is easy and reversible.  Call them. O0
