Spring recommendation
« on: June 29, 2016, 10:46:59 AM »
My M&P 9 drops brass at my feet.  My 75B with the same loads throws brass 6 to 8 ft.  I've seen a suggestion for a stronger recoil spring.  Is that the way to go and if so what are the recommendations?

6 to 8ft is the ideal distance for autoloaders to eject. Sounds like the spring in your M&P is to strong for the load your running.

I saw another guy at the range shooting the m&p9 and his did the same thing with various factory ammo.  Made me wonder.

The M&P 9mm uses a 16lb recoil spring from the factory (slows down the slide movement...). The CZ 75 9mm uses a 14lb spring. But you'd have to weigh in the slide mass and ejector design to get a true picture of what's what. You can easily try different weight springs in the CZ to get the results you want.
