New Kadet
« on: May 15, 2002, 07:12:27 PM »
My Kadet arrived today. I immediately tried to install it on my 75BD at the office. I was really bummed out when it wouldn't fit. It went on a ways, then just refused to go further. I was about to call some people and get a good rant going. I could see exactly where the metal was purposefully left too big. I read the instructions. There is a section on fitting the Kadet. Duh. I got it home after work. It took about 30 minutes with a very fine file to get it to fit. I took my time and checked the fit every few strokes. I have had experience with the problem of removing too much material. I really think it is cool. I'm sitting on 1100 .22 hollow points, and 1000 new 9mm  rounds. I feel a little lead poisoning comming on.

Rob,
After some range time tell us about your experience.  I am particularly interested in the ammo your conversion likes best.  So far mine likes Win Powerpoints and the old Federal Target F11 (new code is F11B I think).  Good shooting.

I like the fact that it needs to be fitted to your frame. It takes a bit of work, but makes for a very tight and accurate pistol.

Have fun! You'll go through all the .22 in no time!
