CZ Carry Grip Dilemma
« on: August 09, 2016, 06:21:40 PM »
Hey everyone,

I just picked up a set of Black Cherry VZ Frags for my PCR. They are really thin and a lot firmer than I expected. I find them definitely more comfortable to carry IWB and they do not snag my shirts constantly like my stock rubber grips do.

However, they definitely take away some of the legendary 'feel' of a CZ handgun. The stock rubber grips give me a much more controllable grip. I have very long fingers so I have always preferred a thicker grip. I also have less immediate control of the gun when I am drawing.

Would you stick with the VZ's for comfort and being snagless? Or go with the stock rubber grips which I know I have more control with especially during a draw and immediate firing situation.

Are there any other aftermarket grips that have the controllability of the stock rubber grips but are thin? Thanks.

Easy!  You carry the gun for that time when you may need to shoot it.  Not for all of those times when you are just carrying it.  It's a weapon, not a good luck charm.

I'd stick with the grips that I could shoot the best with.  I can always alter my wardrobe for better concealment.

I like the positive feel of the rubber on my PCR and 75B compact but they do tend to grab clothing which could hinder my draw in my mode of carry owb behind a cover shirt so the factory plastic grips afforded me a happy medium.
