Scope on Kadet???

I have been using my Kadet ever since the great post on how to fix the stovepipes, and have 2 questions.
           
            1. The front site is VERY narrow. Has anyone tried to make it wider, or pop in a new front site.
           
            2. Can I mount a scope on the pistol? I've though about just slipping my Kadet slide into a vise, and milling a dovetail into the top.
           
            I mainly use the Kadet at a local gun club that shoots mainly .22s. I am the only one without a scope on my handgun, and always finish last.

I need to appologise for not reading down far enough. There is already a thread on this subject.
           
            Having said that, I want to avoid any scope that is frame-mounted. I like to flip back and forth with only the change of a slide.
           
            I am looking for is information on mounting a scope to the Kadet's slide. Has anyone tried that?

Somewhere I saw a mount for the Optima 2000 sight for the
            CZ..Maybe in one of the links listed in forum ??
            I think there was a choice of frame mt. and slide..

Isn't the rear sight a dovetail ? If it is 3/8in.,  Simmons makes two red dot systems (blazer) that are sold with 3/8in. dovetail attachments.  Why wouldn't this be a nice addition ?

My Kadet is currently at my gunsmith having a mount put on it. What Im doing, is having four holes drilled an tapped into the flat top of the slide, which does not cycle. Then there mounting a picatanny rail to it.  From there I can put red dot scopes on it, which is why Im doing it or I could actually but a rimfire scope on it if I wanted to. I have a nice Leupold Gilmore which would sit nicely on it.
