CZ 97b question
« on: November 03, 2016, 01:49:41 PM »
just got my new to me CZ-97B.
On the left rear between the safety and the beavertail there is a hole in the frame, can see a vertical pin inside. What is this hole for? Am I missing a cover for it? Thanks

I have a question too. Why is this post here?
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges - Tacitus

Inter arma enim silent leges - Cicero

I wasn't born in America, but I got here as fast as I could.

This is a retainer/lock for the hammer pin. Its there on all CZs including CZ 75s

The Omega system is totally different and the hammer pin is retained internally by a slot machined in to it which the disconnector drops into and locks in place. The traditional CZ 75 as well as the 97B/97bd actions all have the pin you asked about.
