If you could have a swing open trap door on a grip would you be willing to pay $8-12 extra for it?

yes- totally worth it
no- doesn't interest me at all. Give me cheap as possible.
maybe- interesting but undecided

I would prefer storage.   Otherwise, it's a ton of wasted space.

On another note, whatever happened to your prototype handguard?

We have been so busy this year. We have been working on Project Tomcat putting a lot of resources into that getting it ready to launch. Plus keeping up with growing sales. We have added employees and working on building a large shop expansion. The forearm is still in development and not moving as fast as I would like. The original plan was to get molds for it going after the grip starts shipping. It isn't a dead project, I just don't have enough time in the day.

Well, maybe one day your ideas won't out number your development and build capacity. It seems you have a rooted passion for the bullpups and nobody can fault you for prioritizing your efforts for something innovative in that market

Until the time comes, the scorpion will still be waiting for you. It's a young firearm that I believe will be here to stay for a long time. Just try not to put the scorpion too far on the back burner that you forget what you were designing before.

As far as I'm tracking from catching up with old posts threads here, you have several ideas for the scorpion:
-The forearm
-the pistol grip
-left side safety selector

Did I miss anything? I wish your company the best and I look forward to doing business with you someday in the future. I'm also curious about this tomcat design that you've kept so hush hush for a greater portion of this year

Project Tomcat...   It's almost as mythical as the DT MDR!

Will the big reveal happen before Halloween?

I actually have left side safeties almost done and still trying to fit charging handle prototypes in the production schedule. We keep buying machines and it never seems to be enough.

And don't worry about me putting the Scorpion on the back burner. I actually have something massively huge planned for it that I hope to reveal soon. It actually has taken up the second most amount of time in development to the 'mythical' Project Tomcat.

Which for those not following, if you want to know what Project Tomcat is first so you can hop online and be the first ones to break it, sign up for our email list!

How do I get on the email list?

I can answer that since I just did it.  Go to Gear Head Works website and click on "Contact Us".  Fill out your info and be sure to click the box that says "Check here to receive email updates" and then hit the submit button.

Are we talking like a 2 piece forend handguard? The pistol length main piece attaches to the firearm and an extension connects to the main piece. Extension goes on and comes off with ease, like plug and play for when you use a suppressor.

We were talking about the pistol grip itself. Not the forearm.

I like the idea of on-board storage.  Indeed, a range bag would have such stuff too, but for those times when that is not at your side, a few essentials would be desirable.  I'm thinking 1 AA, 1 CR CR2032 and a very small lens cleaning cloth stuffed inside to keep those items from banging around...

From what I've read, some are not so fond of the A2 plug option (Yeti).  With respect VFGs using M-Lok, there is not much to choose from, so it seems...

Anyone have this eBay offering?

Curious if it would hold the aforementioned goodies....

I like storage if the closure is secure....  If it's just a rubber plug, forget it.  Even if it's there, I won't put anything in it.

From accounts I've read, certainly nothing of value...

Oh, I heard back regarding that grip on eBay:

"We just tested it with the batteries. It does not have enough space for 1 AA battery and 1 CR2032 battery. Actually the space are perfectly for 2 AA batteries."
