I think that, in Tennessee, that a weapon must be in a holster to be legal carry.  This includes pocket carry.  If you have a holster in that pocket, you are good to go.  Of course, I could be wrong.

I've never heard that, nor could I find anything with a quick Google search to support it.

I stand corrected concerning the holster requirement.

I am not sure this is advisable, however.
