why don't they just make a billet 50rd aluminum magazine? rather than mounting a $70 piece of alum to a $19 plastic mag...

marketing and money. Doing that would just make too much sense lol. Instead of an $80 aluminum mag one time, they get you to pay $75 bucks once with the hopes of getting you to pay $20 multiple times replacing the plastic mag. More money. That said, I just ordered the extension so I'm falling for it lol

a 12.5" long 50 shot "30+20" half plastic/half alum magazine using plastic locking tabs and a stronger spring....... now, a drum adapter to the factory 10rd mags or 20's would be nice...

Now we're talking!  I would have no issues with paying for a drum-style mag extension/adapter, a bit more compact with a 10 rds mag body!

I second the drum adapter!
Come on CZ (or after market) get busy making it.

Saw them yes.

Wanted one, no.

Especially after I saw the price tag.

You can get a mag coupler for about 6 bucks a piece and have 60 rounds on tap.

120 rounds if you use both of the mag couplers that comes in the pack.

You still have to change he mags after 30rds.  These were made for gun games.

IMO, the CZC is nicer than the solution that couples to mags together end to end.  This setup is $30 for the coupler, then $20 for an extra mag. So for me, the extra $ is worth it to me to have a solid piece of aluminum.

Spent the day at the range with my CZC +20.  Started with it on a 30 round mag body.  Was jamming constantly, seems like the follower is getting hung up on the transition from the extension to mag body.  Once past the extension it worked flawlessly so clearly getting jammed up in the extension.  Tried another 30 round mag body and the same issues.  Spent a little time with a file working on the transition between the extension and the mag body and it got a little better but still had jams.  Switched the extension over to a 20 round mag body with a 30 round spring and it ran flawlessly.

I am hoping with a little more tuning I can get the 30 round mag body to work.

Just curious if you are using a new or old style 30rd mag?

I am not sure it is the transition.  I get jams after the first shot.  Its never made it past two consecutive shots before jamming up.  Most of the time it jams after every shot.

Just heard from Stuart at CZCustoms and they're sending me a "replacement" spring for mine,  but whether that means the exact same spring or a newer style, I'm not sure. Told him my exact problem and they said they were sending a spring
