Surefire SOCOM Muzzle Brake
« on: April 15, 2017, 02:21:00 PM »
Already have my CZ Scorpion but just discovered the world of the Bren 805 Pistol. Anyone have a mounted Surefire SOCOM muzzle brake/flash hider/suppressor adapter on theirs? I want to make sure I can suppress it before I dive in. The space between the muzzle brake and the gas block area looks pretty short

Look up the part number of the muzzle brake on the Surefire website.

It might be that it is designed for QD/QA--like the muzzle brake on my CZ 550 Urban Counter Sniper rifle (p/n/ MB762SSAL/RE which pairs with their FA762SS suppressor).

Perhaps I worded my question poorly. I know which Surefire SOCOM Muzzle Brake to use. The question is, has anyone attached one to their Bren (and/or successfully used the Surefire SOCOM suppressor with it). The question revolves around if there is enough space on the barrel "shoulder" to attach the Muzzle Brake and, since the Surefire SOCOM QD attach design fits down over the collar of the brake, is there enough space to use it on this pistol.

My mistake...I presumed that the muzzle brake on the Bren was already a Surefire.  I tried to find any dimensional information on the new indexing method that this particular models FA (Fast Attach) to see how much additional space is needed.  I can't imagine that CZ would have designed their pistol version of the Bren to not be suppressor-fitted.  This might be a question best sent to the factory if you can't find someone here who has already fitted theirs.

I'd like an answer too.  I have one in the box waiting for form 1 approval to sbr.  I bought the surefire hoping that suppressors would someday be legal in this state.
