Form 1
« on: January 26, 2017, 09:35:33 AM »
Just curious how everyone is "affixing" their fingerprint cards and photos to their Form 1? Paperclip? Tape? Glue? Getting ready to send Form 1 for Scorpion Evo 3 pistol to make a SBR.

I'm guessing tape the photos and paperclip everything else?

Sorry, I have always gone the trust route.  With the ATF I would not even venture a guess.

OK? That's what I'm asking. What is the trusted route? This will be my first time submitting paperwork to the ATF since 41F. What is the preferred method to affix the photos and fingerprint cards?

Sorry I want too clear.  If you use a Trust you do not have to send in fingerprints or pictures.  Since you need pictures and fingerprints you must have gone with the LEO sign-off with is great because LEO sign-off can be difficult or impossible to get in some areas.  Both have advantages and disadvantages.

Unless that has changed?  It has been a little over a couple of years since I have done one.  Am curious about the best way to attach them though.

You must not be aware of the new 41F requirements. You actually do have to submit photo and fingerprints for Trusts now. Everyone that has power to control the Trust must submit them.

And if filing as an individual, you must send in photos and fingerprints. Since 41F was implemented last July, it's been this way. However, if filing as an individual, you no longer have to get LEO approval. You just have to notify them and send them a copy of your paperwork.

i used some contact cement for the photo.

as far as the finger print card, i just put it with the others.  I figure after they get it, they will be doing their thing and using a staple puller.  just thought i would make it easier.

I just called and spoke with someone at the ATF NFA branch. They said the preferred method is a single strip of scotch tape along the top and bottom edges of the photo. Just figured I'd pass it along if anyone is interested.
