Before you buy one, decide what you really want in that scope mount.
I believe my cheek weld needs to be consistent, whether using iron back up sights or an optic. So I want my scope/optic to be placed so that I get my nose on the charging handle, just like iron sights/BUIS.
So, what I've found is that depending on the optic, the placement on the receiver rail is different. It's kind of hard to describe. I've bought mounts that did a great job of securing the scope in the mount and the mount on the rail, but the scope needed to be further forward to get my eye in the right spot.
If you're willing to not have consistent cheek weld then about any mount will do.
You do need to be aware that some scopes have 1" diameter tubes (1" rings required) and some have 30 mm diameter tubes (30 mm rings required).
Some mounts require a screw driver or wrench to take loose from the rail and some have quick disconnect features (levers). I have quick disconnect mounts on 3 of my rifles and I've found that I can remove the scope/mount and put it back on (it's got to go back to the same spots on the rail) and it doesn't have to be re-zeroed.
Removal is required for some optics if you need (or just want) to use the BUIS.
Figure out what optic/scope you think you need/want based on the targets and distance you'll be shooting. Take a look at some of them in a store if you can to get an idea of what kind of distance it'll have to be from your eye. That should help give you an idea of what mount would work best for you.
Over the years I've bought nice looking mounts, put a scope on a rifle and then had to take it off and buy a new mount to get that scope where I want it on the receiver.
Good luck with it.
