Rami has developed an extra click in DA
« on: February 08, 2017, 06:57:03 PM »
I just noticed this and it is only in DA. When I first start to pull the trigger hammer moves a little and you can hear an audible click.

This never did it before and the hammer seems a little loose meaning a tiny bit of play in it

Thoughts?  None of my other 7 CZs have this issue and yes, I know the 2 click is normal.  It's that first one

I assume the sound is the disco settling into place on the trigger bar. As long as the pistol functions i would not worry about it.

I am interested to hear other forum members input on the question.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

It's funny it comes and goes. Seems like if I wiggle the hammer a little bit it gets in a different position and won't move and there will be no play in it.  Then it will randomly start with the click you hear in video

I'm thinking in email to see CZ USA might be in order to see what they say.

NORMAL!

Really?  Why would hammer be tight like my 7 other CZs some of the time and make no click and other times have play in it and make that first click?

Perhaps I totally misunderstand your issue. First, your vid was pulling real quick, and I am not sure I really heard anything wrong there.

Now you are saying your Hammer is tight? At times? Not quite sure what that means having a tight hammer.

Not really sure what YOU ARE DOING HERE AT ALL TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?

Hi

Watch the very first movement of the hammer. Do you hear that audible click?  Not the one where it gets to half cock. The very first movement.  That click just developed

Tight as in when it's dropped against the slide there is no play or movement in it if you grab it at the ring portion.  When it's like that there is no click when you first start to pull the trigger

Is almost like something is slipping in there.....

When your DA resets is there any takeup/pre travel on the trigger?

Does it do it with the slide off (don't pull the trigger all the way)?

What if you wiggle the trigger side to side when the hammer is down does it make that initial click?

If you thumb the hammer back does it click?

Cheers,
Toby
