Range Report-CZ 75D Compact 9mm
« on: February 28, 2017, 05:44:32 PM »
We went to the Range last week and I gave my CZ 75d Compact a Test Drive.
What can I say that hasn't been mentioned before?
I tried several brands of 9mm Ammo.
It ran perfect with Sig Hollow Points, American Eagle, Ten X, Blazer Aluminum  and Blazer Brass.
It was very accurate and it will be my Winter carry.
My summer Carry is a Sig P238 SST H.D. It also ran perfect with different .380 Ammo. The Black Grips that came with the H.D. were not an issue.

I know these Hand Guns cost a little more than others. The extra cost comes into play since these Hand Guns are more reliable.

Right now I am really jealous that you have gotten to fire your new pistol.  LOL  I have had mine for over a week and still no range time! Dry firing a lot but am looking forward to the future when work/weather/remodeling don't get into the way of a trip to the range. Very nice to see that yours shoots well. I am ever confident mine will too.  Best wishes and good shooting!

Twins maybe?? I carry a CZ P-01 and a BUG thats a Sig 238.
enjoy both of them!
Pops 1911 the really good thing about dry firing is that your targets last a real long time.
heck by the time that I had owned my P-01 for a month I had already ran over a 1000 rounds through it.

Yes,agreed.  Dry fire targets do,indeed, last a long time.  ;D  It always helps me really get to know a new firearm particularly the trigger feel. Said it before but I truly like the feel of my new trigger.  Not gritty and breaks like glass in SA.  Reminiscent of my beloved 1911s. If all holds well I have scheduled myself some range time this evening. [fingers crossed]

I've been told Dry Firing your Hand Guns is a good idea.
It will give you Muscle Memory and the feel of  the Gun in your hand.
I Dry Fire and Stretch  out my arms and aim at Candles in the house and really focus  before squeegeeing the trigger.

Yes I dry fire a lot especially with new weapons. +1 for muscle memory imprinting. Working on a comfortable grip at first and dry fire is very efficient at this too. Once I got to the range and after 200 rounds I finally dialed in my firearm's sight picture. Now during dry fire I use that sight picture to imprint it on my brain.  Not too much to work with there.  LOL  :P
