SP-01 Urban Grey suppressor ready
« on: March 26, 2017, 03:15:24 AM »
been itching for a full size CZ 75 after getting a pair of the CZ-75 99021 "sp-01" compacts, and am narrowing it down to the CZ 75 Omega, the CZ 75 SAO (which seems to be impossible to find right now) or the CZ 75.... what makes it even MORE interesting is the Urban Grey models. Looking at the SP-01 and Omega (which both seem to have Tritium night sights, not just the SP-01) and I was wondering how do the raised sights effect the targeting on these pistols? do the raised sights make it easier to aim than the "stubby" ones found on the regular SP-01/Omega models? Does it just make it "different?

Raised sights are to aid in seeing over the suppressor when attached. Shouldn't really effect it one way or another over regular sights.

yeah, that I knew, I worded that poorly. I meant that shooting it without a suppressor would raise them up and one of the most common complaints is that the "stubby" regular sights are a pain... I didn't know if them being raised helped in any way, or was a hindrance in any way shooting without a can

The raised sights are there to, simply, see over the suppressor when attached. Your POI may change with the suppressor. But that would be on the suppressor, not the sights. So, theoretically your POI shouldn't change because of the raised sights whether you shoot suppressed or unsuppressed with raised sights.

gotcha, I didn't know if it changed the sight profile at all, or made it easier to sight, just checking since I can't find any locally to finger bang and play with before buying.

also, what's everyone's opinion on Blems? I have a chance to get a SP-01 Urban Grey Tactical model for $599 shipped as a blem (which seems stupidly good), but I didn't know if CZ Blems were worth it. from what I gather they still have the full warranty on the gun, just not on the finish due to a blemish (which is usually no big deal). Any thoughts?
