Sweet!  8)  Happy loading!  :)

I've used Starline Brass and it's great stuff!

I installed the Henning guide rod and 20Lb recoil spring. The new spring makes it very difficult to rack the slide. It kind of reminds me of my 40S&W chambered Browning HiPower. Just in case, I'm going to take a 16Lb and a 18Lb recoil spring to the range as well.

I got my first 50 10mm cartridges loaded today.
Brass: Starline
Bullet: Zero 180gr JHP
Primer: CCI LP
Powder: AA#7 (10@9.8gr, 20@10.0gr, 20@10.2gr)
C.O.L.: 1.260"

I can just see the base of the bullet in the brass, so it looks like I've got good tension between the bullet and brass.  The C.O.L. of 1.260" works in the magazine and the cartridges drop in and out of the chamber without getting stuck.  It looks like I'm ready for a test fire.

I shot it today.  The pistol functioned 100%.  Accuracy was good.  It definitely has some kick.  Based on the fact that the spent cases were still kicking out with good velocity, I think that I could go with a 22Lb recoil spring.  The only problem with that is I can't rack the slide without swapping hands already.  Next I'm going to make a lighter plinking load with a faster powder.

Quite a number of 10mm shooters will keep two different springs handy.  One for full power loads and another for more mid-range loads.  I recommend dipping the heavy spring in Red enamel paint to keep from mixing the two different Springs up.

In the .45 Super, I've found the 18 lb Spring to be quite enough and when I went to the 22 lb Spring, felt Recoil was actually heavier.  Also note, I use the Sprinco Recoil Buffer Rod with that 18 lb Spring.

"Wonder finish" is a Tanfoglio factory finish. Just like "Satin Nickel" is a CZ factory finish.

Old thread I know, but I picked up a couple of cases of S&B 10mm 180gr FMJ from sgammo.com.  It was $15.14 per box delivered which is a great price for 10mm.  It will be interesting to compare it to my own reloads.

I have six magazines for this pistol.  They were pretty tough to load.  I could only fit 12 cartridges in three of the magazines and 13 cartridges in the other three.  All of the magazines are marked for 14, but there's just no way.  Has anyone else encountered this issue with the K10 10mm magazines?

I fired 50rds of my reloads (Zero 180gr JHP over AA#7) and 50rds of the above S&B 180gr FMJ's.  I couldn't use my chronograph at the range, but the recoil of the S&B felt very similar to my reloads.  Accuracy of both was pretty much the same.  Based on an inspection of the cases, the S&B appears to have burned a little cleaner.  The only other difference that I noticed was that the spent S&B cases seemed to go out of the pistol at about 3:00 while the spent reload cases went out of the pistol at about 4:30 or so.  As a result, I lost more of the S&B spent cases down range to the front.  I'm very pleased with the S&B 10mm and would recommend it.  I'm also still pleased with this pistol.  Accuracy is good and I like the kick.
