CZ75D Decocker Question
« on: March 31, 2017, 10:42:27 PM »
Just picked up a 75D.  Question:  It seems to me that if you pull the trigger from the double action position(hammer down) midway and stop, the hammer will go to a position the same as a decocked position.  Is this in fact a decoded position with safeties engaged?
Thanks, Mike

Btw, 2 PCR's available at Aurora Gun and Pawn, Aurora, MO.

If you de-cock the hammer from fully cocked, it drops to a half-cock position (a little easier DA pull than all the way down). If you mostly pull the trigger with the hammer starting all the way down, then yes, it will also end up in the half-cock position instead of dropping all the way down. The FPB will still be enabled.

Decocking to half cock is a huge advantage in the cz system.  A shorter DA pull helps both finger reach and about ability to make the shot.  It also has some advantage in transition to SA.
