Finally got the parts to put that DP Pro on an AR15 pistol

I'd ordered the Leupold DP Pro mount a few weeks back from Optics Planet.  It arrived without the screw or clamp to hold it on the riser.  Repeated attempts to get some help from Optics Planet were unsuccessful and they finally just told me to contact Leupold, even though I'd bought the mount from them.

Let me say Leupold was a pleasure to deal with.  One call, the guy was very helpful, told me they might be a little slow getting the parts shipped due to a lot of recent shipping activity and I still the big envelope arrived 7 days later.  With a whole new mount in it, not just a new screw and clamping plate.  Great customer service.

Anyway, got the DP Pro on the mount, the mount on the riser and the riser on the rail of the AR15 pistol.  I mentioned I might place it out on the handguard tube rail since it would be "out there" anyway on a regular pistol.  So that's were I put it.  I checked the BUIS (magpuls) and when I flip them up I can see the whole of the front sight post and the protective ears through the lens of the DP Pro.  They are in the bottom half, or bottom 1/3 of the lens, but easily visible/usable.  The DP Pro, even when on, doesn't interfere with the BUIS picture because the dot/triangle model really, is well above the top of the front sight and when you adjust to use the BUIS there is no triangle visible, just a faint red glow.

Now, to get back to the range and get it sighted in.  I hope my wife doesn't start thinking I keep changing sights just for an excuse to go to the range.

Here's what it looks like.  Two pictures.  One with the flashcan (this one is the Noveske Flaming Pig as it's the 8.5" barrel) and one with the BUIS raised up for use.  I put the KAK Shockwave on it a few months back.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
