Modifying a 1486 T3 disconnector

Does anyone have video or detailed info/ with pics on how to modify the CGW T3 disconnector? The pretravel in the SA portion of my Cz custom shop sp-01 shadow is more than I would like. So I bought the T3 and would like to try my hand a modifying the disco to reduce this pre-travel.

Cam, have you talked to the guys @ CGW?  This is how I understand it but please don't do any grinding based on my input.  I'm definitely no gunsmith!  Looking from the rear of your pistol with the disconnector installed and engaged, the backside of the vertical leg of the disco needs to be shaved down.  I believe you need something strong like a diamond cutting wheel on a Dremel in order to remove some meat on the leg.  I'm in the same boat so I'll be interested in hearing what others have to say or correct me where I'm wrong.

Talked to David today and he will send me some material on how to go about it.  I bought the T3 today and there are some other threads on disconnectors but I want to make sure I do it correctly. Thanks for the reply. Once I find out more I'll let you know.

I had some significant pre-travel on a Shadow and I found I needed to change the trigger bar. The disconnector was just fine and changing it out had no impact. The tolerances on the trigger bar were just on the high side (less material at the back).  Not saying that yours is the case, but if you have loaner CZ to try it might be worth a shot.

Just focus on those two areas and you will be good. Go very slow. I got impatient and took off too much so I have a bit of pretravel now. I like it, but it's a hair more than I would have liked.
