P07 extended base plate question
« on: May 24, 2017, 01:11:03 AM »
Ok I will start out by stating, I do live in New York and no matter what am screwed to only having 10 round magazines (yes we can load them to 10 rounds)

With that being said i was wondering  if there is any extended base plates that can be added to one of my p07 mags, not for extra round counts but for more surface area to grab.

I prefer longer spare mags to carry as they are easier to grab correctly compared to the stock flush fitting 15 (in my case 10) round mags.

Or would it just be easier to order a p09 mag

One problem might be getting a company to sell and ship you an extended mag base plate to NY.  I know Greg Cote will not.  I can not see where that would be against the law since it is not an actual magazine.  If you could could get one, and have it plugged somehow to not allow the ammo to be able to be loaded in the extra space would work.

I'm thinking since it's for carry, and aesthetics don't matter when your life is on the line, that a 10rd P09 mag would be a lot easier to get your hands on.

I'm starting to think that as well, and cost about the same price.

Sadly the +1 or 2 that come with the P07, came with my purchase, but don't work with the 10 round mag spring. And that's a bummer because they would work just fine. Also a bit bleepty that 07 and 09 mags cost about 2x that if a glock

If you don't care about aesthetics, buy one of these. Grind it down and JB weld it to the base pad of your mags.
