I Shot a CMP EIC Leg Match
« on: April 21, 2017, 10:54:55 PM »
I shot a CMP Excellence in Competition Match last month with my CZ 75B.  I got no points that day but had fun and got a nice bronze medal from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.  It is hard to compete against match tuned M1911A1 pistols with a CZ that has a creepy single stage trigger.  Are there gunsmiths that tune CZ pistols for bullseye or CMP service pistol competition?

Maybe I will get points next time.  I earned my Distinguished Rifleman?s Badge years ago.  Becoming double distinguished with the pistol badge would be so nice.

Is anyone here chasing points for their Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge with a CZ pistol?

I am about to use a CZ75SA at the Navy East Coast Match.  I had sent mine to Cajun Gunworks and have been very pleased.  My trigger is equivalent or better then my Springfield Arms Range Master.  From a sandbag rest the accuracy is just a little less from my CZ, this is with purchased ammunition though.  I haven't had time to find the sweet spot to reload my CZ.  I would not doubt after I can do a full run up I can get it as accurate.  With the almost lack of recoil I have high hopes.

Planning to shoot my 40 S&W 75B in one this summer.
Fully Cajunized, it shoots lights out with Angus' load.
Adding a Tactical Sport adjustable sight, too.

Do the current CMP rules require a 4 or 4.5 pound trigger still?    It's been a while since I got my last points (2009).  I've got an SP-01 that would be great, but the SA trigger is lighter than the old rules specified.  Also, it's not an M9 or 1911 like the old rules specified.

rules state at least 4lbs.  I wanted to stay north of that just in case the person doing the LTI isn't on the ball.  New rules are on their site.
