That was me, on Sunday morning. I had to meet a good friend on a local range, right after work, so I went to the firing line with having been up since 2PM the previous day. That wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done.
So, I set up TUB out at 200 yards like last time, this time I was going to have fun with the 527M carbine....yeah right! I think I hit the steel maybe 2 out of ten on average, and had several dead primers. No, good solid primer strikes, nothing wrong with the rifle, but primers that just refused to ignite. Remington 9.5s, if you want to know, never had a lick f trouble with them, ever. But that day, I  had 4 of them fail on me out of one bag of reloads. Not happy. Also chewed the support 2/4 for TUB so badly it was left behind for firewood.
Yeah, that wasn't that great. Still beat the dogsnot out of being at work, though. :)

Hah. I went to the police range to shoot a couple weeks ago I couldn't hit the steel at like 40-50 yards once with my Shadow 2. That said, I had absolutely  no clue where my shots were going so I didn't know how to adjust.

That kind of stuff (going without sleep) is much easier when you're younger.

When I was in the Army about the only time we could get to a range to shoot (without it being packed) was when I'd get CQ I'd pick my buddy as the CQ runner.  We'd stay up all day (work) and then stay up all night (on the desk/phone at the front door of the barracks) and then when we got off around 0600 the next morning we'd load our stuff up and drive out to the range (Warrenton, VA, about 50 miles or so from Ft. Myer).  We'd shoot till just after lunch time, put everything back in the car and then drive to McDonald's for burgers and fries and then head back to Ft. Myer.

If I was to try that today I'd nod off somewhere/sometime when I shouldn't and make a mess of something.

Every now and then we just have to do something to remind us we're not young anymore.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

And,  it's always a surprise.  It's just the bag that gets old.  We're still the same "inside" that could go two + days if the need arose.
Without mirrors we'd be going on sick call to ask the doc what the he c k happened. ;D

armoredman, That is a great line. Mark Twain or WC Fields would have said something similar.
I have been feeling that way the last few months.

I would have to say it was probably Mark Twain - it's right up his alley. 8)
