Don't forget to shoot your SD rounds every now and then!
« on: January 16, 2018, 05:41:51 PM »
Dang!  Time flies when you're having fun.  Although our relationship was a bit tentative from day one, I've come to rely on my Rami as my most often SD carry piece.  Recently checking my notes, just about a half year passed by without shooting it!  The Rami stayed with me during the rainy/windy hunting season October/November -- I did take the mag out, unload it and wiped it down along with all of the dust bunnies that had accumulated back then.  I've had it in and out of the safe while rotating occasionally with other carry options.  I've kept it on my hip for SD duty while having fun target shooting with the full size affairs.  As mentioned previously, "time flies".  Bullets usually fly out every 3-4 months or so from my carry pieces to then be cleaned and freshened up with federal HST from the ammo box.

Well this time when I finally went out to "empty" my magazines via trigger pulls. . .

It was boringly accurate, every shot went bang and I couldn't miss the gong at 15 yards. 8)

Clean, Rinse, Repeat.  I'm really loving this thing and the role it serves.  Although not used as a target gun, it just MIGHT be more accurate than my PCR  :o

I'm thinking about getting a RAMI BD. So you'd recommend it as a good carry option?

A nice calm ending to the story, good deal.  :)
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Mine is the safety version, but I carry it hammer down DA.  Works for me, but I mostly carry OWB.  There are thinner guns for IWB.  There are lighter guns that are more comfortable.  There are mouse guns that may fit a pocket better.  There are always tradeoffs.  My minimum caliber for autos is 9mm.  For a revolver, .38 spl is my min.  I do not struggle whatsoever with a 2 finger grip, pinky tucked under.

YMMV

Yeah, that's the way I do it as well. My hands aren't huge, so small guns work, but I love larger steel framed guns best. I will probably end up with a RAMI eventually.
