Added a P07 today.
« on: August 02, 2017, 12:37:58 AM »
Found a "Used" P07 in a local shop priced at $389.  Other than the factory test target I could find no evidence the pistol was ever fired before today.  No powder residue anywhere.  Mags and followers had absolutely no rub marks.  End of the barrel had the faintest ghost of a rub mark from the slide.  anyway.  Too good of a deal to pass up.  It's been on my list of pistols to buy if the price was right and I had the money.  Things lined ip right today.

Ran to the woods and put 100 rounds through it beside my Beretta Px4 that was also a recent acquisition for under $400.  Wasn't expecting to pick up the P07, and had already loaded up the truck with ammo.  Had planned to run 200 through the Px4.  So each pistol only got "half a measure" today.  But each lived up to expectations.  Both ran 100%.  Both put rounds where I pointed.  Both handle very well.  The Px4 trigger is a bit better as a stock trigger in that it doesn't have the stagy feel to it, but to be fair I don't know how many rounds went through that particular Storm before I bought it, but it doesn't look like it has eaten as many as my Px4 Compact, which I've been fairly good about logging my round count on, at 1550 rounds.

Looking to compare this P07 to my Px4 Compact in a carry role and see how it stacks up in comfort, and performance in drills.

First two mags look promising for accuracy, and no function problems in the first 100 rounds.  Looking forward to really running it through it's paces and seeing how it does.

Edited to add a clearer pic, and one that isn't quite so huge. 2 mags 25 feet, Standing Slow fire, two handed.

Looks like it came with a P10C mag, so it can't be all that old anyways. $389 is a steal!

It would have been very hard to walk away from that price.  It has a "17" on the slide.  So, I'm pretty sure it was made this year, and someone just was selling it to get something else or had some buyers remorse, before they ever fired it.

Wow, that thing looks like it's pretty near new.  Nice score!
