What is a "Semi Compact" and do I want one????

Howdy!

Just saw over in CZF Classifieds some "CZ Semi Compacts" for sale.  Interesting looking, but what is it really?  Better yet, what would you use one for?

I can see the advantage of a full CZ 75 grip frame, but then a shortened slide and barrel kind of escapes me. I don't see it being very useful for CCW, you still got that big ol' grip.

So, please, enlighten me.  Tell me why I should buy one of these.

Full-size frame and compact slide, I think.

There are a few of them floating around.  Eric (UT83) had one a while back.  And there are (or were) two for sale in our classified area.

Totally a matter of personal preference.

I think I've figured it out!  It's CZ's version of the "snub nosed .38"!!

Everybody needs a "snubbie", I think I'll get one!!
