Yesterday I shot my P-10 in an IDPA Sanctioned match in Alabama. I thing there were about 200 shooters.
The P-10 was a lot of fun to shoot. HBI trigger was a big help but after about 250-300 fast rounds I have just a touch of tenderness in my trigger finger from pinch. Probably because of fast drawing and shooting and not getting my finger where it was supposed to be on the trigger but no time to adjust.
I had my first ever malfunction but I am not blaming the gun. It was an extremely tough standards stage with six hard cover painted threat targets mixed with six non threat targets. Freestyle, strong and weak hand. It failed to go into battery one time strong hand and I was trying to be so careful to make the tight shot I probably limp wristed.
It was a 12 stage match and at least nine people including Safety Officers said "What gun is that?" One guy asked if it was an HK.
They collected ammo from us for Chronograph check and when I handed my P-10C to the SO so he could measure, weigh, safety check and shoot through the chrony, he just held the P-10 in his open hand for a few seconds +like "What the heck am I looking at" but everything was good.
I had a good day, no major missteps, all my plans worked like I wanted, but I am still old and slow. I have not seen final results but I know I was in the middle of the "Concealed Cary Pistol,Sharp Shooter" Division
