So, I'm a space cadet. I remembered that this thread was out there and thought I'd throw an update out there.
I finished the pistol and actually shot a box through it last year. I never got the trigger reassembled properly. The pistol would shoot, but the timing/linkage was never right. So, I did what any reasonably intelligent CZ owner would do...I sent it off to Cajun Gun Works! I wasn't planning on spending the cash on a pro package, but am delighted with the results. I took the pistol out to the deer lease and put another box or two through it. The trigger on this pistol is beyond amazing. The DA pull is like cutting room temp butter, the SA rivals, that of  my Dan Wesson Valor. The trigger reset is so short as to be nearly imperceptible.
That's when I found another problem...
The slide stop? Worn out. Every 2-3 rounds the slide would lock open regardless of how many rounds werre remaining in the magazine. Turns out it was so loose/worn that it would "bounce" up and lock back the slide. I gotta tell ya, I got a lot of grief for having nearly $900 in a pistol and having to re-reack the slide 3-4 times per magazine from the lease mates. There wasn't a lot of CZ love flowing back then.
I bought a new slide stop CZ-USA has a "Cold War edition and slide stop retaining spring to solve the issue. The pistol now shoots like a dream.
Anyway...how about some more CZ porn?

Of course, I've been wrong before...Tony

That is a beautiful restoration job.  Great looking sidearm!

Looks good. It's fun to tinker around with this stuff.

I've wanted to do something like this and Lord knows I have a bunch of spare parts. Just can't find a surplus around here for what I consider a fair price.

A nicely blued gun is pretty darned cool looking.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
