Cajunized Shadow 2: Wow
« on: September 17, 2017, 11:34:01 PM »
I received my Shadow 2 back from CGW not too long ago and was finally able to make it to the range today.

The results are not to be believed.

The trigger before going to David was a little disappointing all things considered: there was a slight take up followed by a little mush before the break. It's not so much that I am a trigger snob, I'm just not a good enough shot for a sub-par trigger to not have ill effect.

The trigger is now unbelievably amazing. It breaks like glass at 2 lbs, 11 oz in SA and 5 lbs, 11 oz DA.

The lockup is insanely tight. I repeatedly printed a single little raggedy hole on every target. Totally worth the wait. I have a 75b SA that is also Cajunized and that trigger is amazing too, but the Shadow 2 is heads above.

Very nice. How long did it take to get it back?

Did you get the barrel bushing?

CGW had me wait a few weeks before sending it to them. Once they received it, it was 6 weeks to the day that I received the call from David. Two days later it was back in my hands.

I did. Although you wouldn't know from looking at it, the bushing changes the feel for the better. There is zero play.

This post put me over the top. Called CGW minutes ago, then sent an e mail....In line for a Pro action job on my 75B.  I may send the S2 in as well once I get the 75 back. Or send the S2 instead of the 75?  Either way...I am on the list.

You won't be disappointed. After coming home from CGW, my 75b SA became my favorite pistol: crisp, light and reliable. David is a magician.
