Cz magazine
« on: October 06, 2017, 09:30:22 PM »
Went to the range today. Shot 60 rounds thru my cz97b. I kept have a ftf on first round on one magazine. I think it was the factory magazine.  The 2 mecgars did fine. I  also had a couple fte. Were the factory magazines bad?

I have 12 mags for my 97 and no issues with any.Mine are all 2012 and newer so the change that was made in 2012 is there.     How old are the mags you are having trouble with?

Not sure the gun was manufactured in 2004.

They made changes to the feed ramp (length) and the mags in 2012 which addressed the issue you're having. The early 97's didn't feed defensive ammo well and the mags could be finicky with ball ammo at times. I'd pick up a couple more new mags and see how the gun behaves with them. You can also buy the updated barrel from CZ-USA and Cajun Gun Works stock them as well.
My 97BD is 100% flawless with all my mags and any ammo I care to feed it.
