BULA KM21 EBR
« on: October 12, 2017, 02:06:13 PM »
It has been decades since I last disassembled and assembled an M1A.....and I had to re-learn how to put things together the hard way. The SAGE EBR stock was not a perfect fit and I had to shave off some here and there particularly where the "wings" of the trigger housing sat (maybe I needed another trigger housing?). I couldn't for the longest time make the guard close up as the wings were propping up the whole housing. The trigger guard would not shut close. Everything seems to be working now.

Waiting for rings, mags, ammo and a scope.

If you hadn't explained what it was in your post, I'd be asking "WTHIT".

Doesn't look anything like an M1A/M14 with no front sight, the shortened/fat barrel and no stock.

After looking at it again I do (sort of) see the safety in the front of the trigger guard.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Folks at the 25 yard indoor range I go to will probably laugh at this set up.

And the standard coffee table shot.

Replaced the scope with a lighter SWFA and also replaced the brake.

Is that magazine locked in?  It looks angled to the front.  I don't think my M1A does that.

Then again, it may just be the angle of the rifle vs. the camera.  Just looks odd.

You're right it wasn't seated properly.

Now, for the important stuff.

How does it shoot?

Hah. Good question. I'll know if and when I get to an outdoor range!

Looks good! I almost went with the black EBR stock but the fanboy in me went with the original silver/gray :P
I picked up the Sage cantilever mount for the top, just waiting for the funds to recover to get some nice glass, thinking the Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x 50mm.

Enjoy it!
