P10-C Recoil spring not correctly in position?

I returned from the range and cleaned the pistols when I got home.  When I assembled the P10-C, the recoil spring guide was out further than normal and the barrel also stuck out further than normal.  After a little playing and jiggling, I was able to dis-assemble it.  When I tried to re-assemble it it went together without any issues.  The only thing I could figure out was that the recoil spring guide dropped down slightly and caught in the round relief in the polymer frame and that caused the issue.  BTW, I have a SS recoil spring guide from CGW.  This happened before with the original guide and I thought the SS guide might stop this from happening again.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?  I'd be interested to know what you did to stop it from happening again.

I did have a similar incident happen to me when I was re-assebling my P-10. When I called CZ-Warranty Service they told me to pull the slide back to where it would be if the slide had gone on normally and then pull the trigger, pull down on the the slide removal tabs and remove the slide.Then make sure the guide rod is in the proper position and reinstall.  Apparently if you push down on the slide in the process of reinstalling it you can push the guide rod out of position causing it to hang up. They recommend you push to the rear of the slide not in a downward motion. Never had the issue again. BTW I was using the stock recoil spring when this happened. I have since changed to a stainless steel rod with un-captured spring.

Nice to know good advice. Not nearly as bad as reassembling the M60 GPMG - there are at least 7 parts that can be reinstalled upside down or backwards, and IIRC, four of them cause a runaway gun....even my SKS could have the firing pin installed upside down, would freeze the pin forward, go into slamfire.
