Shortening factory carbine hand-guard on pistol
« on: February 08, 2018, 03:31:27 PM »
I greatly prefer the plastic CZ scorpion carbine hand guard but am missing the short length on my scorpion pistol with brace. Has anyone chopped the carbine length hand guard?

I was successful in cleanly removing the picatinny rails on my old pistol hand guard but this might be more complicated.

Normally I run suppressor underneath which is why I got it but not having easy access to the threads is getting a little tiring.

Just take a bandsaw or a hacksaw to it and go to town, square it up on a 4 inch belt grinder or make a block with sandpaper. Normally I'd say cutting wheel but unsure of the poly mix it might be the type of polymer that likes to melt and glue itself back together
