CZ P-10C: 10-round vs. 15-round
« on: February 22, 2018, 08:03:23 AM »
It seems my local dealer (in Kansas) can only get "California compliant" (i.e. 10-round) P-10C's.  Is just a matter of them shipping with 10-round magazines, or is there some internal changes that would prevent one of those models from using standard 15-round magazines?

Pretty sure its the same gun except with 10rd mags.  Someone will chime in that knows for sure.
I remember when "Common Sense" was common.  I must really be old!

The down loaded mags are the only difference. Guns are the same.

Etaoin,

I live in Wichita and ordered a P10c online for msrp and had it transferred to an ffl (gun/pawn shop) for another 20. It was 15rd model.  If you live near a place that will do transfers I?d suggest finding one online with full cap mags and doing a transfer. Mags are 35 plus tax/shipping so you might be saving money. On the other hand if you can get the gun locally and dry fire it and check it out to see which or any of the issues if has if may be worth picking up instead of taking your chances. Especially If it is at or under 499, (depending on how much less than msrp/499) go for it. Then buy 2 or more 15rd mags and you can use them for range drills.  In the long run you?ll pay more but be happier. Either way it?s a good gun. All CZs are.  My gun had a much better factory trigger sn 3xx.... than my shooting buddy?s 4xxx.....sn model that has 1000+rds. Seems like a real crap shoot sometimes with these things. Good luck,

If the price on the CA model is right, you can always use the 10 rounders for range work and pick up a pair of either 15 or 17 round mags from GregCoteLLC.com.  I tend to carry my P10C with the 17 rounder as it's only marginally larger than the 15 round mags.  I also tend to load out only 10 rounds at a time on the range, so 10 round mags don't bother me much for range work.

No difference in firearm  internals apart from sku  imho, both will run 10 & 15 mags flawlessly. I use the 10mag  for my P07 & P10c when in communist Kalifornia.
