SP-01 Tactical Slide, Sand/Polish these zits?
« on: March 04, 2018, 11:10:17 PM »
Just bought this used and while I'm waiting for a new guide rod and spring, wondering if it's worthwhile to "jewel" i.e. sand/polish what I think are machining 'scars'.  The images show dings - (circled in red) that I think are too deep to remove but it's the lines that runs top to bottom in the image that are on both sides of the rail I'm thinking of smoothing out.

Not expecting to notice an improvement in performance, just a bit of OCD on my part.

Those look like points that make no contact with anything.
I wouldn't bother.
