Kadet 2 on SP01 frame question
« on: May 14, 2018, 04:35:08 PM »
I have a Kadet and a Kadet 2. I usually run one of the on a compact PCR or P01 frame. I just acquired an urban grey SP01 Tactical.  I think that us what it?s called. Threaded barrel suppressor sights all steel. Great gun. Kadet 2 fits fine but I can?t get last round to lock back using any of my slide stops. Is there a solution or do I just need to count rounds with this setup?

There are two main solutions for this. One is to use different slide stop. The one that comes with Kadet II or with standard CZ75B. Another is to adjust the wire spring that locks the slide stop. Slightly bend it to lower the pressure to the slide stop. Wire spring is located on the right side inside the frame and holds with a small pin (front), that easy to push in and a hole on the frame in the rear. Stick your slide stop in while slide is removed and you will see clearly how it operates.

I had this problem and for me at least, it was the slide release. The SP01 cuts them differently, and I found that the Kadet 2 release worked for 9mm mags and .22 mags, but the SP01 stop only worked for the 9mm mags.
The fleet:
CZ 75 P-01
CZ 75b SA
S&W 19-3
S&W/Aero AR-15
Remington 870 Wingmaster
M1 Garand

If you call CZ, I think they will send you the correct slide stop you need.
