For 9mm, Winchester NATO, 124gr.
Awesome stuff.  Full size CZs produce tight groups with it.

For 9mm when I don't reload, Federal Champion Brass or Aluminum.
Have bought and shot a lot of Federal Lake City in 5.56 M855 , M193, and 7.62 NATO.  Good Stuff!

Non-USA made, but good
For 7.62x39mm Russian, I've bought and shot a lot of Wolf, Tula, and Silver Bear.  Prefer Wolf and Silver Bear.
Have also bought some Australian Surplus 5.56 M855 and no complaints so far.

Best for what ?

This is a little too open ended. Please clarify.

Excellent for accuracy and consistentcy is Atlanta Arms ammo.  I've shot it for years in 9mm and .45.  "Best"?  I don't know.  I quit looking after a few sub 6" groups at 100 yards and a 9" at 200 with a P-09.  I'm sure there are other good ones.  I'm not spending any time chasing substitutes down.

The only American commercial ammo I've shot in years is .22 rimfire and self defense 9mm.
The best I've shot is a new type:  CCI called it Christmas Ammo.  The  RN lead bullets were poly coated in mixed colors - red & green - instead of wax coated.  They were listed as 1250fps if memory serves.  It was very reliable, accurate and CLEAN shooting in my High Standard target pistol that is very ammo picky.

For all the likely traits of "good ammo" for 9mm,  I've found Speer Gold Dots and Hornady XTPs to be excellent in all characteristics and uses.

For "my " main uses,  my 9mm  reloads are the best.
