We have had a few reports from customers of the factory mag pivot pin, on high round count P-10-C's, backing out. We have identified the reason and designed a new pin that should prevent this.
The problem we perceive in the stock pin is the shoulders are not sharp and well defined, which can allow the mag release to walk past the shoulder of the pin. The stock pins narrowed center section is also to large (.108"). The stock pin is also to soft, in our opinion and appears to be around RC 45.
The new CGW pin is much harder at RC 52, and the center section has been reduced (.104"), and when combined with the sharp, well defined shoulder of the new pin, should prevent any further issues. We also appreciate the shooting community bringing these things to our attention.
