Swapping CGW P-07 parts

I posted this in the CGW forum section, but haven't gotten any answers.  Maybe someone has seen this issue.

Okay, I have an issue.  I have a regular black P-07 that I put the CGW pro kit into.  Works great!.  I just traded for another P-07 UG with the threaded barrel and high night sights.  I decided to take the pro kit parts out of the black one and put them into the gray one.  When I finished, the gray one would not trip the hammer in single action but would in double action, so I put them all back like they were.  I decided that I must have done something wrong so I went through the same process again.  Same issue, would not trip the hammer in single action.  So I put them back like they were again.  I only swapped the parts from the kit.  The second time I did not swap the parts in the slide though.  Can't figure out what is going on.  I am planning on putting the pro kit in both but will I have the same issue? 

Basically I'm just installing the Pro Kit and the single action does not work.

Measure the original roller from the UG and see how it compares to the one you are installing.

Just a guess but you may need a different size.

I thought about that but I thought it affected the double action.  I'll look.  The one I was putting in was .225.  I'll check it though.  Maybe use the bushing that is in it.

The Cajun roller does smooth out DA (by nature of being a better quality part) but it also affects the timing. That is why correct sizing matters so much...

The bushing/bearing measured .022.  This morning I swapped it again and changed the bearing around but the trigger was actually hitting the polymer frame.  Just a hair bit of filing on the back of the polymer trigger pocket and it is working great with either bushing.  Thanks for the help.

Me too, now I feel better about ordering another pro kit.  CraZy81 told me to look at the frame in the CGW forum.  Guess it has happened before.

Another reason why you'll usually see a small amount of text stating that they recommend parts be installed by a qualified gunsmith.

Sometimes, parts just don't work right.

I converted a DA/SA CZ Compact to SA only.  The hammer would go to/stay on the full cock notch when thumbed or when moved by the slide.  I could pull the trigger and the hammer would fall but the gun wouldn't fire.  Turned out the trigger could not move forward far enough to allow the lifter arm for the firing pin block safety to reset completely.  On mine, I removed a little metal from the front of the trigger to allow it to move forward more.

You'll find, the more you work on your pistols, the more things you'll learn as you will run into issues.

Absolutely.  I would much rather work on them than shoot, although I still love to shoot, LOL
