I do the same thing thng when I grip the SA (ride the safety with my right thumb). But it seems to push my left thumb out and away from the slide leaving a gap when I grip with both hands.

I have two sets of CoolHand grips, grenade and snake on SP01 and the CGW thing Aluminum on the SA.
I do like the factory rubber SP-01 grips, but didn't care for the plastic version that came on the 75B-SA.
Opposite results for the triggers. Love the feel of the flat SA trigger and now have a CGW 85 style trigger to replace the pinchy factory trigger on the SP01.

So I got to play with an SP01 yesterday which had the rubber grips, and compare it to my SA with the plastic ones. I think I am sold on the rubber, they felt good, and a definite improvement over the stock ones.

I put my right (strong) thumb on top of the LH safety. I carry cocked and locked and this makes sure the safety is off when I'm ready to fire. It's impossible to not flick the safety off this way, which is a concern some people that prefer decockers bring up.

I shoot thumbs up and out to avoid the safety.
