Running SP-01 Suppressed
« on: May 14, 2019, 09:46:53 AM »
Are SP-01s finicky when run suppressed? or eat anything and everything and run fine suppressed?

Considering either a Cajunized SP-01 or P-09, suppressor ready...

Thanks...

I have no personal experience, but this video shows the SP-01 should give you no issues.  I believe the P-07 or P-09 will perform well also.

Any recommendations? At this point it?s not about preference, more so price, I own a shadow 2, tuned, so that?s my standard of ?nice trigger?. And I know I can?t expect the p09 to be as good as the sp01 just as I know the sp01 will have the decocker to actuate, but I mean, I?m really torn here.

Will be the go home defense gun. Do I keep it consistent? As in all steel such as uspsa gun? The better trigger etc....

Or

Price conscious, better overall as far as cost and still a decent Cajun trigger... I don?t know...

I would go with that SP-01T UG SR.

I have a cajunized sp-01 tac and it runs great supressed. It balances out extremely well and has eaten everything I have fed through it so far. It was originally UG and I had it cerakoted to sniper gray. Cerakote holds up well but will eventually show wear, especially if you are constantly holstering.

So its a perfect option for Home Defense... although its one cost for another....

urban gray model. saving from buying and fitting a threaded barrel and suppressor sights.... but then i have to cerakote... or just get a black tactical model, and add the barrel and the sights... LOL

SP01 is safety while SP01 tactical is decocker.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Yup, pretty much. I waited until I found a great deal on a used one to keep my costs down.

I've fired an SP01 with a factory threaded barrel installed by a gunsmith (ie, not a SR model) a little, and it worked fine.

I've fired my P07, also with an added threaded barrel (drop in) a bunch, suppressed and loud, both barrels, and its outstanding.

Only host gun I've owned as good as the P07 was my USP45 Tactical.

Which barrel did you have? I would definitely consider suppressing my SP01 if I could drop in a threaded barrel from a reputable third party.
