I just wanted ti inquire if anybody here has encountered a Calico .22 lr, single action, 100 rnd mag capacity or an Calico 9mm Single action 50-100 round mag capacity. Definitely futuristic looking and looks fun to fire. Any input would be greatly appreciated. All I know is it was developed in Bakersfield California and i'm pretty intrigued by them and am finding them difficult to locate. Probably a definite negative in CA. any way, but worth a shot. thanks everyone!

They're almost aesthetically reminiscent of the FNH P90's and other "assault rifles"

I have one of the sporter rifles with the wood stock.  I got it used and its shoots fine.  The only issue is the 1 mag i have.  The clutch will fail to catch or give when you are firing and then you have no more bang.  Its a know issues and i just need to have the clutch rebuilt.  But im waiting for more mags to come out.  at 150+/mag im going to wait.

Thanks Bang Bang. I haven't actually fired one but my concern was the rounds denting and bending the cartridges the further the mag is loaded. 100-150 round is quite a bit of pressure. I do like the .22 though. i think it would be a nice little plinker.

Arc,

There is not spring tension during the loading process and you must release any spring tension during loading.  After the mag is loaded, then you wind the spring so many turns.

As to the bent cases, i havent had any.
