I know this post is a week old, but I think the reason the guns don't come back to the STORE is because it's much better/quicker just to send it back to the factory for a full refurbish, no charge.

My carbine was really worn out.  The factory totally replaced just about everything, including the metal cover.  They also included everything that comes with a new carbine, even though I bought it used at a gun show.

It's a whole lotta fun.

Thats an excellent point Chris,  their customer service is legendary.  I have several carbines and I had accidentally lost one of the bolt extractor clips and they sent me one free of charge with no questions asked.   Thats service!!!
I am also looking forward to getting another one of their C9 9mm compensators.

You may be right about sending them directly to the factory -- or maybe the folks who buy the Hi-Points are just a shade smarter.

Most guns, if they break or stop functioning early on, come back to the seller/dealer, because 1) folks don't read warranty info in their packages, and 2) its a lot cheaper to let the dealer deal with the problem.

I know of two dealers who sell Hi-Points, and while they don't make a lot of money with them, feel comfortable that they're not degrading their firm's reputation by selling them.

On the other hand, I still haven't fully recovered from seeing a compenstated Hi-Point set up for competition at one of those shops, however. (One wonders where they find holsters for those beasties...)

Walt:  High Point accessories and holsters are available on their company links page.

  Also:
While obviously not competition pistols,  I do love their triggers.
