Discolored CZ Safety (97B / Rust?)

All, seeking your inputs.

I did a two day handgun tactics class in northern Alabama this past weekend and found the safety to be absent its black polycoat.  Does anyone know if this is common?  Should I replace the safety?  If so, is there a resource you could point me to to ensure I don't muck it up?

Clean it up,keep it oiled and don't worry about. Unless you are going to have it nitrided or hard chromed it's going to wear.
