Made a trade with my younger brother today

My brother picked up a revolver I've wanted for years at an estate auction. He tried it and didn't like it. I swapped my S&W model 66-8 2 3/4 inch for the 696 no dash he picked up. He's happy with a 357mag that's slightly smaller, I get a fantastic 3 inch L frame 44 Special.

Ran some of my hand loaded 260gr Keith style bullet loads (run right at 900fps) and some 200gr factory cowboy action loads ( running at 700fps) through it. Fun to shoot with the mid stuff and the warm 260gr loads will be great on hogs or deer.

I would have made that deal in a NY minute. Congrats

Love my M24-3. 44spl is one of the cartridges that just speak to you.
